A really groovy middleschool music teacher that I found while enjoying the magic of the ukulele community on Youtube contacted me about doing a custom paint job for her. Since it was similar to many of the shoe jobs I've done, I jumped at the chance to expand my canvas to something fun and new. This is the result.
The theme was determined by Lisa ([link] (her Youtube channel)) by way of a list of things the composition had to contain. Aside from that she said to "Acrylicana is up!" and away I went. Hand painted with oil-based paint pens this time due to its slick surface and need for durability. The "grey" bits are actually silver. Artwork © 2009 M. Winkler/www.acrylicana.com. |
